Unreleased Music
First Recording Ever
Five years ago, I bought a mic, set it up in my closet, and clicked record…
I’m Going For My Dreams
I love this song so much. I haven’t figured what I’m going to with it yet, but here’s a little snippet for you.
Lyrics:
Stand tall.
Keep your eye on the prize through it all.
Leave your fears; they don’t matter at all.
Find the courage even if you fall.
Mistakes show the path through.
I don’t mind, it’s worth it every time.
I don’t mind, I’ll do it every time.
I’m going for my dreams.
Because - The Beatles
I never released this because I wasn’t 100% happy with my harmonies and mixing. Funny story: I spent hours tweaking the harmonies to perfection and did a bunch of vocal processing, only to discover I like the original version more!
Additional side note: Each harmony needed to be recorded four times in order to get this sound. This was my first time doing something so vocally complex, which informed my vocal layering in “Creep.”
I want It All
A song that didn’t make the cut!
Breaking My Heart
From a baritone ukulele to an early 2000’s bob. This one missed the cut for CHASM, Vol. I, but perhaps it will make it to another project with a completely different style!
